KicksUSA Playlist of the Week Vol. 1

By: Ian Wixted

Summer is about to come to an end, people are gearing up for Back to School, and that got me feeling nostalgia for my own childhood. Music being one of the three core values of The Kicks Way, we decided to provide you with a personal playlist from around the office at the end of the week so you can vibe out into the weekend! The inspiration for this first volume is a callback to the sounds I grew up on, 90s to 2000s hip-hop and rap. I chose 18 of my favorite tracks from that era to start our brand new feature: KicksUSA Playlist of the Week!

  1. The Last Emperor – Do You Remember (And 1 Mixtape)
  2. Lord Tariq & Peter Gunz – Deja Vu (Uptown Baby)
  3. Nas – It Ain’t Hard to Tell
  4. The Notorious B.I.G. – Juicy
  5. Naughty By Nautre – Feel Me Flow
  6. 2Pac – I Get Around
  7. The Fugees – Fu-Gee-La
  8. The Pharcyde – Passin’ Me By
  9. Gangstarr – Above The Clouds (Feat. Inspectah Deck)
  10. Craig Mack – Flavor In Ya Ear
  11. Cormega – Verbal Graffiti
  12. Cam’ron – Horse & Carriage
  13. GZA – Publicity
  14. Ice Cube – It Was A Good Day
  15. Big L – The Big Picture (Intro)
  16. DMX – Slippin’
  17. Jay-Z – Dead Presidents (Orignal Lyrics)
